Ah... he very well could have. He does seem to operate through exchanges.
[ And in that case, how many wishes has he granted? ]
I have to wonder as well what this means for our own magicks. Would he be able to take them upon himself and use it against us? 'Tis a possibility we must consider.

I think he likely would be, yes. My magic would exhaust him.
[ But speaking of exchanges... he recalls their interviews, and it makes him wonder— ]
Mayhap we exchanged something with him. Something we no longer recall.

My years of study... I can't imagine what I would have given up in exchange for that either.
[ But who can say. They don't remember anyway. ]
I believe another avenue to explore is who he has taken this magic from. Are they former participants? Or others from his star?

I believe so. I have to wonder if he is limited by time, and thus, has used the loop to escape that limit. After all, all of our states are reset when he winds back time.
[ Which leads into what else he found out— ]
Siffrin mentioned that Ish is attempting to save his goddess. This goddess just so happens to be his creator and thus, his mother.

Siffrin said that it sounded to them as if she was asleep. Neither alive nor dead. They believe that after she gave Ish magic, she may have fallen asleep.
[ And ever since then... ]
They also stated that he's an attendant and is part of her, or has a part of her within him. I can corroborate the attendant part, as he mentioned "other attendants" in passing to me during one of our conversations. I have to wonder, then, if he is also duty bound to ensuring her safety.

I do think it could be the case. Though I must wonder what his method here has to do with it. Emotions play a role, I believe, but beyond that...
[ He shakes his head. Not to mention where their physical forms come in, too. Sabo has a point with that too. ]
Siffrin also confided that Ish's goddess would be upset over the state of things. She would not have wanted it to be this way. Mayhap... that is an angle we can pursue, if need be.
[ He's not above guilting Ish into giving up, basically. ]

[ rip......
G'raha is definitely getting an inkling of that temper right now, at least, his words making him wonder if there are times when Sabo shows no mercy at all. ]
You do make a good point. He could very easily lash out at us.
[ And they need to use their bargaining chips carefully. ]
All that being said, I believe we are beginning to puzzle together the bigger picture. We're aware of the situation regarding his magic and some of his reasoning for doing this at all. We also know that he can, in some manner, be killed... though I daresay that it will come consequences.
[ Like this world getting destroyed before they can escape it. ]

...I agree. I've spoken with a few others of some of these matters, but bringing this to the group at large is important.
[ Even though he finds a lot of value in secrecy. ]
There may be much and more that our other companions have to offer that we do not know.

[ He watches as the hat approaches him and it manages to bring a small smile to his lips. Sabo's positivity radiates even from a hat.
Impressive. ]
I have certainly been better. To think what was meant to be a fruitful meeting would devolve in such a way...

I believe Siffrin has every right to feel the way that he does.
[ He sighs, crossing his arms, the weight sitting in his chest still heavy. ]
I am of the same mind as you. I wish they had saved it for much, much later. We still need to cooperate to make our escape with all of us intact.

No, I believe you are right. 'Tis where I fall on the subject, when it comes down to the minute details.
[ Ugh. He hates all of this, especially when Siffrin is so angry with him in spite of G'raha fully understanding. ]
I suppose it all felt that this would clean up too easily.
[ They needed to throw a literal knife in there somewhere. ]

[ That actually almost makes him laugh. ]
What would be the most ideal way to you, friend? That he reawakens his mother and those of you who have perished return so that we may all escape together?

Thus, giving him no reason to pursue this venture any longer, with us or with others in the future.
[ It's incredible, really, that Sabo would think to make a wish like that, much less the fact that it worked so well in his favor. ]
I never thought I would feel this sentiment, however... I truly am grateful your killer escaped notice.
